Belarusian art. Does this concept exist at present time? What is it? Is it the continuation of the general socialist utopia or an original outlook
with its own national roots and tendencies? What are characteristic
features of contemporary Belarusian art: are they archaic traditions of
European tendencies translated into the language of the national culture?
Undoubtedly, in the conditions of "open society" was legalized in Belarus a circle of artists, who have transformed their recent socio-
psycologic collisions into the channel of comprehending European cultural values. This is natural, as any integration can only be mutual. Yet one can predict with certainty, that the main trend of Belarusian art will develop within "traditional ABC framework". To prove the
right for an equal dialogue and recognition it can only interpreting
its national and spiritual pecularities into the language of contemporaneity. Being quite sure, that it will, and that the process
has already started.
